These are your 'Plain English' conditions for registration with the Night Porter Booking System
You are required to accept these terms & conditions if you wish to register.
In order to prevent Double Bookings, you agree to update your on-line Night Porter Diary before 'switching  Night Porter on' and to check your Night Porter Diary and update your 'Home' booking system when 'switching  Night Porter off'.
When you accept a booking from another agency, or make a booking yourself, which affects one of your Night Porter listed rooms, you agree to update your Night Porter diary by adding a Non-Availability Period for that room before switching Night Porter on.  If you do not do this and a double booking occurs, you agree to provide alternative accommodation of at least the same standard for your Night Porter guest.  You agree to bear any additional costs that may be involved.
As the Night Porter system uses your Night Porter web page information to make bookings, you agree to keep your Night Porter web pages up to date with regard to facilities offered and the prices charged and to check them regularly for errors.
The Night Porter system makes a booking with a guest on your behalf and charges a small, non-returnable fee for this service.  Once the booking has been made, all the relevant details are sent to your nominated contact person and the guest, by email.  You agree that all other matters relating to the booking are solely between yourself and the guest and that Night Porter, it's agents or employees have no further part to play in that booking.  This includes Cancellations, Changes of any description, Non Arrivals, Damage caused by Guests, Thefts by or from Guests or any other matter which may arise after the original booking and confirmation have been made.
Only you may add or delete any periods of non-availability in your Night Porter diary, or make any changes to the information and rates described on your Night Porter web pages.
When a guest makes a booking at your venue using the Night Porter system, you agree to provide the guest with the facilities and the prices described both on your own web site and on your Night Porter web pages at the time the booking was made.
You agree to have the 'Night Porter' icon, which relates exclusively to your site, placed on your enquiry and/or tariff pages on your own web site.
You agree to release Night Porter from any claim relating to any 'down time' of the Night Porter system or any inaccuracies in the information supplied by you or of any services you have provided.
You agree that Night Porter retains the right to exclude any venue or person from the Night Porter system without having to give any reason.
If you fail to comply with the terms of this contract, Night Porter will discuss the matter with you. You agree that Night Porter retains the right to remove you from the Night Porter system if, following these discussions, you continue not to comply with the contract.
You agree that the prescribed 'Booking Fee' is to be deducted from the deposit received by Night Porter and that the Balance of deposit is to be paid directly to you.
You agree that all records, documents, extracts and other papers made by Night Porter remain the property of Night Porter
You and Night Porter both agree that this contract does not over-ride any Law in force at the time of booking, in the country in which the Venue is located.
You and Night Porter both agree that all currency transactions shall be in the currency of the country in which the Venue is located.
Collection of Deposit and Payments.
You and Night Porter both agree that:
When a guest books your accommodation through Night Porter, Night Porter will accept a prescribed minimum deposit or percentage deposit, (set by yourself), whichever is the greater, of the total cost of the booking, based on your normal ‘rack rate’ for the number of guests in the room concerned, by a secured, credit card payment.
You agree to Invoice the Guest, who will pay the balance of the monies due directly to you, as per your normal booking arrangements.
Night Porter agrees to send a statement to you together with any monies collected on your behalf, less the prescribed booking fees, by the 10th day of the next month following the date the booking was made. 
Cancellations and Refunds.
You and Night Porter both agree that:
Cancellations of bookings and refunds cannot be made through the Night Porter system. You agree to deal exclusively with the guest under your normal booking and cancellation arrangements and to subsequently update your 'online diary' accordingly.
